COLOR PRINTING WORKSHOP

The analog color printing workshop is for those who want to make prints from their own color negatives in the darkroom. It is recommended for those who are already minimally familiar with analog photography and the darkroom.

WHAT WE DO

The workshop is developed favoring a practical and operational approach over a theoretical one.
After a brief analysis of 'necessary equipment and the different methods of developing paper using the RA4. process, we will experiment with what are the basics of color printing (color dominants, use of filters, etc.). At this point the participant will be able to make a contact sheet and an enlargement from a negative of their choice.

WHAT YOU NEED

You must bring one or more already developed color rolls (C41) of any size from 35mm to 120.

The workshop is limited to a maximum of 2 participants.

TEACHER

Roberta Ridolfi
 
Roberta was born in Rome and studied Photography at the London College of Communication and then worked as a freelance photographer for several international publications and clients including the New York Times, I-D, Zeit Magazine, Stella McCartney and the British Film Institute. She has been printing in color in the darkroom since 2002.
